Future Boy Conan

未来少年コナン

Nuclear war has left Earth almost entirely underwater. Conan survived an astronauts’ failed escape as a child when Indastria’s soldiers take a girl named Lana, he goes after her.

Every Miyazaki obsession arrives fully formed here in 26 episodes of post-apocalyptic adventure — the reason to watch is the physical comedy of movement, animation acting so specific you can read a character’s whole personality from how they jump.
