Berserk — Watch Guide

A mercenary with an oversized sword falls in with the Band of the Hawk and, through them, into the orbit of their commander. The 1997 series adapts the Golden Age arc of Kentaro Miura’s manga and stops where that arc stops. The animation is limited and never pretends otherwise: it spends what it has on held compositions, heavy ink shadow and painted backgrounds.
