Darling in the Franxx is a mecha anime that concentrates on a group of teenagers, one in particular; Hiro, a former prodigy, and Zero Two, a hybrid human and elite pilot who aspires to become entirely human. To operate the robots, the teenagers must work in pairs, and so a romantic story develops between them.
